One project. One set of facts. Every document drafted from it.

ProtechOS holds the job once — client, site, activities, plant, materials, people, programme — and supports the drafting of the whole documentation set from it. The documents are aligned with each other because they came from the same facts.

Safe system of work

Inside the safe system of work

Risk assessment, method statement and hold points, with PPE, environmental risk, HAVS, per-substance COSHH, manual handling, work-at-height and access justifications, emergency procedures, legislation, ALARP, competency, inspection and monitoring, and incident reporting. One document, one revision, one approval.

  1. 1 · Scope and activity
  2. 2 · Risk assessment

Hazards and controls from your own hazard bank, rated before and after controls.

  3. 3 · Method statement

Sequenced steps, with permits and gates as typed hold points at the step they gate.

  4. 4 · PPE assessment
  5. 5 · COSHH, per substance

One assessment per substance, from the materials in the design pack.

  6. 6 · Environmental risk
  7. 7 · HAVS
  8. 8 · Manual handling
  9. 9 · Work at height and access

The justification for the access method chosen, not a generic ladder clause.

  10. 10 · Emergency procedures

The nearest accident and emergency department from the site postcode; the client's own arrangements lifted, not rewritten.

  11. 11 · Legislation

Every citation checked against a register of UK health and safety law before approval.

  12. 12 · ALARP
  13. 13 · Competency
  14. 14 · Inspection and monitoring
  15. 15 · Incident reporting

Hold points

Permits inside the method statement

Permit to work, hot works, excavation and confined space are typed hold points at the step they gate. On approval each becomes a pending sign-off, released on site by the named people.

3 · Method statement — excavation and connection
  1. 3.1

Set out the excavation and confirm the services survey on site.

  2. 3.2

Break ground inside the exclusion zone.

HP-2 · Permit to dig Pending sign-off on approval · two signatures
  3. 3.3

Excavate in stages; install trench support before entry.

  4. 3.4

Enter the connection pit to make the joint.

HP-3 · Confined space entry Pending sign-off on approval · two signatures

Citation check

Every citation, checked against the register

A deterministic check, not a confidence score. A reference that resolves says so; one that does not is flagged on the document before anyone can approve it.

Valid

CDM 2015, regulation 22 — excavations.

Matched in the register · regulation within range

Suspicious

Work at Height Regulations 2005, regulation 42.

Matched the regulations · regulation 42 is out of range · flagged before approval

Review

Review beside the clause

Reviewers comment against the section they concern, send back with changes requested, and mark each point resolved. The revise-and-resubmit loop happens in the document, not in an inbox.

Illustration: a reviewer's comment on clause 3.2 asks for a wider exclusion zone; the author revises it and the comment is marked resolved at revision 3.

And around it

From the postcode to the site briefing

Postcode

Emergency arrangements from the postcode

The site postcode resolves the nearest accident and emergency department. Standing clauses and emergency arrangements are lifted from the client's own plans, not rewritten.

Export

Issued as approved

Branded PDF per document type, or the whole project as one export pack. Approval fixes the branding, so an issued document renders exactly as it was issued.

On site

Daily briefing record

Generated from an approved safe system of work for the day's task, summarised without adding new facts, with a printed attendance grid.

What it produces

Twelve controlled documents. One set of facts.

Every document in the register is drafted from the same project context, so they agree with each other — the lifting plan and the method statement are describing the same lift.
